Fundamentals of On-Line Leak Sealing

A 2-day course that focuses on leak sealing theories, procedures and techniques.  The course is a combination of classroom theories and live demo. 

Participants will learn how to seal a valve gland packing leak and a flange leak. It is designed as an eye-opening insight into the ‘how-to’ in leak sealing.

Participants are all required to sit for a written assessment and a certificate of achievement will be awarded to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

Learning Objectives
  1. Understand the principles, concepts and codes of practice for on-line leak sealing.
    2. Recognize leak sealing tools and equipment, inclusive of insert clamp and box clamp.
    3. Understand basic sealing methods, inclusive of drill & tap method, insert clamp and box clamp method.
    4. Cultivate good and safe working habits for on-line leak sealing.

Advance Course of On-Line Leak Sealing

A 3-Day course that focus on clamp design, hands on training, as well as special leak sealing method other than drill & tap and clamp. It is a combination of classroom theories and practical training. 

Participants will learn how to seal a flange / pipe leak by installing a clamp, inject sealant as well as how to perform valve killing, pipe crimping etc. 

Participants are required to sit for a written assessment and a certificate of achievement will be awarded to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

 

Learning Objectives
  1. Understanding of principles, concept & code of practice of clamp design.
  2. Hands on training using insert clamp for flange leak and box clamp for pipe/elbow, tee joint leak.
  3. Hands on training on valve killing, pipe crimping and Injection via grease fitting for valve seat leak.
  4. Hands on training using ready-made leak sealing product eg. pre-mould clamp, STOP Kit and LFFA tape.
  5. Cultivating good and safe working habits in on-line leak sealing.

Fundamental Course of 3X Engineering Composite Repair

A 2-Day course that focuses on theories and quality control.  This training is a combination of classroom theories and live demo. 

Participants will learn to perform surface preparations prior to wrapping, wrapping on straight pipe(s), elbow(s) & tee joints.  This includes emergency and temporary reinforcement solutions. 

Participants are all required to sit for a written assessment and a certificate of achievement will be awarded to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

Learning Objectives
  1. Understand principles, concepts & code of practice (ASME PCC 2 & ISO 24817) of pipe wrapping.
  2. Learn inspection and quality control criteria.
  3. Understand surface preparation requirements and methods.
  4. Understand the basics of performing wrapping on straight pipe(s), elbow(s) and tee joints.
  5. Understand the basics of performing emergency and temporary reinforcement repairs.

Fundamentals of Controlled Bolt Tightening

A 2-Day course that focuses on theories, procedures and techniques. It is a combination of classroom theories and hands-on-training for manual torque, hydraulic torque and hydraulic bolt tensioning.

Participants will understand the basic theory and the correct method to perform bolt tightening.

Participants are all required to sit for a written assessment and a certificate of achievement will be awarded to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

Learning Objectives
  1. Understand the principles and concepts of ASME PCC-1 code of practice for controlled bolt tightening.
  2. Understand the basic flange assembly knowledge to ensure proper sealing of flanges.
  3. Cultivate good and safe working habits for controlled bolt tightening.
